TASK12 NewsThe TASK12 Project is so named for the expanded role that the project has taken. What used to be "ASK12" (Assessment System for K-12 Educational Interpreters) is now TASK12 by virture of adding TRAINING to the project. The TASK12 Advisory Board saw the need to add training to the project because of the results shown during the testing of thousands of K-12 interpreters in the TASK12 states. To meet that need, training is being designed to assist with the upgrading of skills, and therefore, qualifications of K-12 interpreters. This will, in turn, improve access to education for students who are deaf of hard of hearing attending public schools. |
